Ottawa Senators vs Boston Bruins 10/18/22 NHL Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Boston Bruins and the Ottawa Senators meet in NHL action from the Canadian Tire Center on Tuesday night.

The Boston Bruins come into this game looking to stay unbeaten after a 5-3 win over Florida last time out. David Pastrnak leads the Bruins with 5 points including 2 goals and 3 assists while David Krejci, AJ Greer and Connor Clifton each have 4 points with Greer logging a pair of goals and a pair of assists while Krejci has 3 assists and Clifton has 4 assists. Patrice Bergeron and Jake DeBrusk each have 3 points with a pair of goals while Pavel Zacha has 3 points with a pair of assists. Linus Ullmark has a 2-0 record with a 2.00 GAA and a .934 save percentage while Jeremy Swayman has a 1-0 record with a 3.00 GAA and an .875 save percentage this season.

The Ottawa Senators will be out to rebound from back-to-back losses to start the year after a 3-2 loss to Toronto last time out. Claude Giroux has a goal and an assist while Shane Pinto and Brady Tkachuk each have a goal. Drake Batherson, Erik Brannstrom, Jake Sanderson, Thomas Chabot and Alex DeBrincat each have an assist. Anton Forsberg’s gone 0-2 with a 2.56 GAA and a .924 save percentage this season.

Boston is 1-4 in their last 5 games played on no rest and 5-2 in their last 7 games against the Eastern Conference while the over is 4-0-1 in their last 5 games played on no rest. Ottawa is 6-14 in their last 20 home games and 5-2 in their last 7 games overall while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 home games.

I get the case to be made either way here, but I can’t pass up this price with the Bruins. Boston hasn’t been great on a back-to-back, but we’re getting the far better and much more trustworthy team at a really good price and that’s not something I can pass on when Boston’s owned the Senators in recent years. Give me Boston here.
