TCU tabbed No. 10 in 247Sports’ preseason countdown

A very questionable no-call in the Round of 32 robbed TCU of an upset over top-seeded Arizona and a berth in the Sweet 16. TCU coach Jamie Dixon told Mike Miles Jr., Damion Baugh and the rest of the Horned Frogs’ players to not sound off on the officiating in the postgame press conference. TCU took the loss with its chins up. But that gut-wrenching defeat has motivated the Frogs all offseason. TCU enters 2022-23 as the No. 10 teams in 247Sports’ Top 25 countdown.

But preseason hype isn’t what Dixon came back to TCU for. He wants to win big, just like he did when he played at TCU in the mid-1980s. Dixon finally has the roster to do just that.

“Certainly playing at the school, coaching at the school I played at, and obviously coming and being at Pittsburgh and having a great situation there, the only place I would have left for was TCU,” Dixon said at Big 12 Media Days. “And to coach at your alma mater is different. There’s just no question.”
